Duties
- Engage in outside sales activities by visiting potential clients and conducting face-to-face meetings to promote our products and services.
- Identify and target new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and territory management strategies.
- Manage existing accounts with a focus on customer retention, upselling, and providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Conduct compelling product demos and presentations to showcase features and benefits to prospective customers.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market reach within assigned territories.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close deals effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement campaigns that support lead generation and brand awareness efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline status, and territory insights to inform future strategies.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management with a focus on technology or industrial products.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead negotiations and close complex deals confidently.
- Expertise in business development strategies including cold calling, direct sales, and retail sales approaches.
- Excellent communication skills for conducting product demos, presentations, and negotiations effectively.
- Ability to analyze market data and sales metrics to identify growth opportunities and optimize territory coverage.
- Skilled in account management techniques that foster long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of marketing principles that support lead generation initiatives.
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to addressing client needs promptly.
- Experience in technical sales environments requiring product demonstrations and upselling strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed territory sales targets and activity metrics (calls, appointments, product presentations).
- Execute a territory business plan, including account segmentation and routing.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders to drive adoption and retention.
- Deliver clear, accurate product education aligned to approved messaging and company standards.
- Document customer interactions in CRM; maintain strong pipeline discipline and reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) and participate in trainings/meetings to support account needs and stay current on product knowledge.
- Follow all applicable compliance requirements and company policies in daily activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals (pharmaceutical sales experience is a plus, but not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and relationship-building ability.
- Professional, customer-facing presence and comfort engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong territory management skills (planning, prioritization, and time management).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical device, healthcare services, or other regulated sales environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $65,000 - $95,000 (USD), depending on qualifications and relevant experience. In addition, this role is eligible for a commission/incentive plan based on achieving sales goals. Benefits may include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs (details will be provided during the hiring process).
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
